Terms of service

Last updated September 20, 2026. These are preliminary terms for the development preview and must be reviewed by the service operator before a public launch.

The service

SailBooks provides USD bookkeeping and one-time invoicing for independent US businesses. Core bookkeeping and invoicing are free within preview limits. Stripe’s processing fees apply directly through your Stripe account. SailBooks is not a bank and does not hold customer payments.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for reviewing imports, categories, reconciliations, invoice accuracy, customer authorization, applicable taxes, and the goods or services you sell. Publishing freezes an invoice. Refunds and disputes are managed directly in Stripe.

Development preview

Demo payments are simulated and never move money. This preview is supplied for evaluation without warranties. The operator must finalize legal terms, support contacts, and operating policies before accepting live payments.
